Privacy Notice
This notice explains how Digital growth Solution enterprise, trading as ChatFlow, handles personal data when you use our website, live chat software, and related services.
1. Who we are
Digital growth Solution enterprise ("we", "us", or "our") operates ChatFlow and is the data controller for personal data collected to provide accounts, administer subscriptions, secure the service, and communicate with customers. For visitor conversations that a ChatFlow customer collects through its widget, that customer determines why the data is used and we process it on their behalf.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account and profile data, including name, email address, profile image, workspace membership, role, and availability.
- Customer-support content, including live-chat messages, notes, attachments, visitor names, and conversation history.
- Website and widget data, including connected domains, widget settings, visitor identifiers, and installation status.
- Technical and usage data, including IP address, browser and device information, log data, feature activity, and security events.
- Communications you send to us, including support requests and feedback.
Payment details are collected and handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record. We receive subscription, transaction, and billing-status information needed to provide your plan.
3. How and why we use data
- To create accounts, provide ChatFlow, deliver messages, and administer workspaces under our contract with you.
- To authenticate users, prevent fraud, investigate abuse, and protect the service based on our legitimate interests and legal obligations.
- To provide support, service notices, receipts, and subscription communications under our contract and legitimate interests.
- To understand service performance and improve features based on our legitimate interests.
- To send optional marketing communications where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law. You may opt out at any time.
4. How we share data
We share personal data only where needed with hosting, database, storage, email delivery, analytics, security, and customer-support service providers; with Paddle for product sales, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, refunds, and invoicing; with professional legal, accounting, or insurance advisers; during a lawful business transfer; and with authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal data.
5. International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside your country, the UK, or the EEA. Where required, we use recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
6. Retention and deletion
Chat messages, internal notes, and attachments remain available for the life of the workspace unless an authorised user deletes the chat. Account, billing, security, and transaction records are retained while needed to provide the service, meet legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it. Backup copies may remain for a limited period before being overwritten.
7. Cookies and local storage
ChatFlow uses essential cookies or browser storage for sign-in, security, session continuity, preferences, and core widget operation. We may use analytics cookies to understand usage and marketing cookies only where permitted. You can control non-essential cookies through available consent controls and your browser settings, although blocking essential storage may prevent the service from working.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal data; object to certain processing; and withdraw consent. UK and EEA residents may also complain to their local supervisory authority, and we aim to respond to valid requests within one month. These rights may be limited where law requires us to retain information.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls, private attachment storage, workspace-level permissions, and encrypted network connections. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this notice as our service or legal obligations change. Material changes will be communicated through ChatFlow or by email where appropriate. To exercise a privacy right or ask a question, email support@chatsupportflow.live.
